HC Deb 04 May 1925 vol 183 c716
The ATTORNEY-GENERAL

I beg to move, in page 19, in lines 29 and 30, to leave ou the words "except as therein otherwise expressly provided."

This is an Amendment consequent upon the Amendment in Committee of Clause 25. It was desired to get reciprocal recognition of probate grants in England and Scotland. This was originally put into the Bill because the English and Scottish probate authorities wanted it. When, however, the matter came to be discussed it was discovered that what was proposed would not work. Accordingly in Committee the Clause was left out. We therefore desire to exclude these words "except as therein otherwise expressly provided." These words go out with the original Clause 25.

Amendment agreed to.
