HC Deb 26 March 1925 vol 182 cc609-10
35. Sir WILFRID SUGDEN

asked the President of the Board of Education if he is prepared to call a conference of representatives from education committees in industrial areas and commercial cities to consider the bearing of present regulations as to age attendance and curriculum in secondary schools, with a view to improving the present small quota passing from the elementary schools to the secondary schools in such areas and cities; and if he will take steps to introduce legislation on the basis of the recommendations of such conference?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Lord Eustace Percy)

I am not quite clear what are the subjects into which the hon. Member wishes inquiry to be made. Perhaps he will confer with me on the subject.
