HC Deb 26 March 1925 vol 182 cc614-5
52. Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Prime Minister whether any decision has been, reached on the question of marriage allowance lee naval officers?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Mr. Davidson)

I have been asked to reply. I have every hope that a decision will be reached in the near future.

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

Could we have an approximate date, rather than being told that it will be "in the near future," seeing the importance of the question to naval officers?

Major HORE-BELISHA

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that that answer has been given practically every week for the last three years?

Mr. DAVIDSON

I hope that we are getting nearer.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

I will put the question down again for I his day week.
