§ 38. Sir HARRY BRITTAINasked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he is satisfied with the arrangements made between his Department and the Board of the British Empire Exhibition with regard to the control of that exhibition?
Mr. SAMUELYes, Sir. The responsibility for the general administration of the exhibition must, in my opinion, continue to rest with the exhibition 17 authorities, but my Department keeps in close communication with them. As my hon. Friend is doubtless aware, a Financial Controller, who has been approved by the Treasury, has also recently been appointed.
