HC Deb 29 June 1925 vol 185 c2013
53. Mr. RENNIE SMITH

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the social and economic problems with which the new Imperial Committee of Civil Research will be occupied, and in order to secure the most representative character in the Committee, he will give special sympathy to the claims of the Labour movement in this country for adequate representation on the Committee?

The PRIME MINISTER

As the hon. Member will have gathered from the copy of the Treasury Minute which I sent to him, it is proposed to invite the co-operation of outside specialists in the work of the sub-committees of the Committee of Civil Research. The choice of these specialists will not be restricted to any political party.
