§ The SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Sir Samuel Hoare)The programme of airship development, which does not involve, however, the running of a State airship service to India and the East, was framed in the Spring of 1924. The Supplementary Estimate of expenditure required for its initiation was laid before the House on the 20th May, 1924, and voted on the 4th June.
