§ Mr. BETTERTONUnder Article 4 of the regulations made by the Assembly 418 of the League of Nations for the administration of finances of the League, the accounts of the International Labour Office are audited by an auditor appointed by the Council of the League for a period of five years. The audited accounts are made public. The latest issued, those for the year 1923, may be found in Special Supplement No. 27 to the League of Nations Official Journal.
§ Sir FREDRIC WISEMay I ask whether the auditor is an Englishman?
§ Mr. BETTERTONI think he is an Italian, but I am not quite sure.
§ Mr. EVERARDDoes not the hon. Member think this would be a very good way in which the Government might economise?

Major RUGGLES-BRISEasked the Minister of Labour how the Advisory Committee on Industrial Hygiene of the International Labour Office is constituted; at what times and places it meets; and whether it is called together and consulted by the Director of the International Labour Office as he may think fit or by the governing body of the International Labour Office?
§ Mr. BETTERTONI will send my hon. and gallant Friend a list of the members of the Correspondence Committee on Industrial Hygiene of the International Labour Office. As its name implies, this Committee is generally consulted by correspondence, but selected members of the Committee meet as occasion requires—usually at Geneva. The Director of the International Labour Office consults members of the Committee by correspondence as and when he thinks fit, but he submits for the approval of the governing body proposals to convene meetings of any of the members.
