JOYNSON-HICKSThe number of children drowned in Stratford in this river during the last four years is four, of whom two were playing on a public part of the banks and two on enclosed private premises. The police patrol all parts of the banks to which the public have access, and pay special attention during the summer holidays. It is not within their power to do more than they already do.
