§ 18. Mr. COUPERasked the Home Secretary whether he is now in a position to state which of the safety provisions of the 1923 Bill are to be included in the new Petroleum Bill; and when he proposes to introduce legislation for the protection of workers in industries using petroleum in manufacturing processes?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSI regret that I am not in a position to make any statement on the subject of this Bill at present. As regards the last part of the question, I am not sure what my hon. Friend has in mind and perhaps he would send me particulars of any cases in which he thinks further protection required. Generally speaking, the protection of factory workers is provided for under the powers of the Factory Acts.
