HC Deb 22 July 1925 vol 186 cc2195-6
46. Colonel GRETTON

asked the Prime Minister whether the Tariff Advisory Board appointed at the end of 1923 made a Report; whether that Report was unanimous; and whether there is any objection to its publication?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Report referred to by my hon. and gallant Friend was of a. preliminary nature only. In the intervening time circum stances have altered, and I consider that no useful purpose would now be served by publication.

Colonel GRETTON

Is the Advisory Board holding any further sittings for considering an extension?

The PRIME MINISTER

No. I think that the last time it met it published an Interim Report.

Mr. HARRIS

Was not this Report paid for out of public funds, and are not the public entitled to know what the Report is?

The PRIME MINISTER

I do not think so. I would like to look this up. The question was asked two years ago.
