HC Deb 16 July 1925 vol 186 c1523
59. Mr. LUMLEY

asked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that a dispute between the plumbers and the heating engineers has held up the erection of a large number of houses on the East Hull housing site for some weeks; and whether, in view of the fact that it is in the public interest that these houses should be erected as soon as possible, he will endeavour to effect a settlement of this dispute?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Mr. Betterton)

I am aware of the dispute to which my hon. Friend refers, and my Department is in touch with the organisations concerned with a view to promoting a settlement.
