Mr. LUNN forasked the Minister of Agriculture what was the annual rent received from Crown land in Regent Street under the old leases and before the work of reconstruction began; and what is the increase, if 867 any, under the new leases granted since the present scheme of reconstruction was initiated?
Mr. WOODThe original leases reserved rents amounting in the aggregate to £26,383 9s. 7d. It is estimated that on completion of the rebuilding the vents will amount to £450,000 per annum. The new lettings on rebuilding in some cases include small additional areas adjoining but not actually situated in Regent Street.
