§ 60. Captain GARRO-JONES
asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what was the cost of the Return published on 23rd June this year of Members elected to the Parliament which was dissolved in October last year?

Mr. GUINNESS
The Return in question was produced at a cost of £22 10s.

What useful purpose is served by this belated Return?

Mr. GUINNESS
That was for the House to decide when the Motion for the Return was made. I might point out that these Returns go back in an unbroken series for many centuries.
