HC Deb 09 July 1925 vol 186 cc607-8
77. Sir H. CROFT

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister)

The value of the net imports into the United Kingdom of articles wholly or mainly manufactured during the 12 months ended May, 1925, exceeded by about 30 per cent. that of the year 1922. The average percentage of unemployed among insured workpeople in the later period was 2.4 per cent. less than the average in 1922. The figures for the earlier period relate to Great Britain and Ireland and for the later to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
