HC Deb 17 December 1925 vol 189 c1611
42. Mr. MACKENZIE LIVINGSTONE

asked the Home Secretary whether he has effected any economies in the administration of his Department; and whether such economies will result in decreased Estimates for the coming year?

Sir W. JOYNSON - HICKS

The amounts of the Estimates for which I am responsible have not yet been finally settled, and I am still in consultation with His Majesty's Treasury. I am fully alive to the need for economy.
