HC Deb 17 December 1925 vol 189 cc1617-8
54. Mr. DENNISON

asked the Prime Minister if, having regard to the unrest prevailing throughout the steel industry due to the Government's delay in announcing the decision of the Civil Research Committee on the heavy section of this trade, he will make an early statement on the position?

The PRIME MINISTER

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave yesterday in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Penrith and Cockermouth.

Mr. DENNISON

Would it be possible to say whether the Civil Research Committee has actually come to a decision or not?

The PRIME MINISTER

I said a decision would be come to in time to announce it before the end of the Session.
