HC Deb 03 August 1925 vol 187 c953
49. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the addendum to paragraph 14 of the Report of the Court of Inquiry concerning the Coal Mining Industry Dispute, 1935 (Cmd. 2478), by Sir Josiah Stamp, and his remarks on the second deep-seated cause of trouble in the second paragraph of page 23 on the effects of the limitation of foreign borrowing on the London market; and whether His Majesty's Government proposes to investigate further into this matter?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am well aware of this point, and I can assure the hon. and gallant Member that it receives continuous examination and consideration.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that meantime there is a very effective embargo on all foreign credits in the City of London, and will he look into the matter without taking his holiday?

The PRIME MINISTER

The matter will be kept under examination.
