Captain GEEasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether he is aware of the condition of the national flags used on the Cenotaph, apparently caused through the colours running into one another; and, if so, does he propose to have them replaced by others more worthy of the dignity of their position?
Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSONThe flags on the Cenotaph are changed at regular intervals. Fact set is cleaned a few times before being finally discarded. The present flags were put up only a few days ago after cleaning, but are now being replaced by another set.
