On the 3rd October, the late Prime Minister informed Zaghlul Pasha that His Majesty's Government did not for one moment admit the right of the Egyptian Government in law or in equity to shirk their obligations in respect of these loans. 2428 His Majesty's present Government adhere to the attitude adopted by their predecessors in this matter.
