asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what Colonies and Protectorates have agreed to date to contribute out of their revenues to the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture in Trinidad; and what annual contribution will be made by British funds?

Mr. THOMAS

Up to the present the contributing Colonies are Barbados, Trinidad, British Guiana, the Windward Islands and the Leeward Islands. The contribution from British funds is a grant of £15,000, payable in annually diminishing instalments over the period 1922–23 to 1926–27, of which £5,000 was paid in respect of 1922–23, and £4,000 has been voted in respect of 1923–24.
