HC Deb 10 March 1924 vol 170 cc1926-7
93. Sir COURTENAY MANSEL

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether and when the Government intend to complete the botanical survey of Great Britain?

Mr. BUXTON

I am aware that a survey of the vegetation of the British Isles was projected by the Ecological Society some years ago and that some few districts were actually surveyed. The investigation was a private one and was never aided from public funds. I have no information as to the present state of the work.
