§ 57. Mr. ROBERT RICHARDSONasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies 24 whether, in view of the extensive interests of Indians in East Africa, he proposes to appoint a representative Indian on the East African Committee?
Mr. THOMASNo, Sir. The membership of the Committee has not been decided on any basis of representation of local interests. I have no doubt that the Committee will have ample opportunity of ascertaining the views of Indians on matters within the terms of reference.
