asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amounts respectively in sterling of the three payments of interest and Sinking Fund on the British War Debt to the United States, and the balance of indebtedness after the third payment?

I am circulating a statement showing the cost in sterling to the Treasury of the three payments of interest and the one payment of capital so far made in respect of the British Government Debt to the Government of the United States of America. The capital outstanding is $4,577,000,000.
