HC Deb 07 July 1924 vol 175 cc1780-1
89. Mr. COSTELLO

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware that large numbers of uncertificated teachers throughout the country are becoming increasingly anxious as to their future; and whether, in order to put an end to their period of uncertainty and anxiety, he can now state when the date and particulars of the next acting teachers' certificate examination will be announced, or whether these teachers will be allowed to qualify by some other, and what, method?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Trevelyan)

I may refer the hon. Gentleman to the answer which I gave on Thursday, 3rd July, to the hon. Member for Blaydon (Mr. Whiteley), a copy of which I am sending to him.
