HC Deb 07 July 1924 vol 175 cc1779-80
54. Duchess of ATHOLL

asked the Postmaster-General whether, having regard to the limit of weight allowed for postal parcels from Britain to places abroad as against the weight allowed by certain foreign countries, he will increase the limit of weight and dimensions of parcels, particularly foreign parcels, in order to bring them into line with the weights and dimensions permissible in France and other countries, namely, 22 lbs.?

Mr. HARTSHORN

I am already in communication with the railway and shipping companies on the subject; but I am unable at present to make any more definite pronouncement.
