HC Deb 17 January 1924 vol 169 cc265-6
Mr. T. P. O'CONNOR

I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for War a question of which I have given notice, both public and private. It is with regard to the soldier Wood who was imprisoned and lost his stripes for not attending Church Parade.

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Lieut.-Colonel Ashley)

I may say that I have received no intimation from the right hon. Gentleman of his intention to put this question, but I am quite prepared to read the reply which would have been given in the ordinary way to questions on the Paper dealing with this subject and which were not reached. HON. MEMBERS: No.]

Mr. SPEAKER

To put as a Private Notice question a question already on the Paper is against the Rules of the House.
