asked the Under-Secretary of State for India when the First Report of the Public Services Commission on India is likely to be published?

Mr. RICHARDS

I am not in a position at present to add anything to the answer given by my predecessor to the hon. Member's question on this subject on 21st January. The Commission is still taking evidence.

Mr. SIMPSON

Is the Commission inquiring into the covenanted service as well as the uncovenanted service?

Mr. RICHARDS

I must ask for notice of that question.

Will the hon. Gentleman represent to the Leader of the House the desirability of having a Debate in the House on the Report of the Commission as soon as it is published?
