§ 62. Mr. J. HOPE SIMPSONasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that dried eggs imported from China are liable to contain zinc oxide derived from the zinc plates on which the eggs are dried; that large quantities of these dried eggs are excluded from the United States of America on account of the zinc oxide which they contain; and whether his Department will take steps to ensure that dried eggs imported into this country are free from deleterious ingredients and are suitable for use in the preparation of foodstuffs?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have no information as to the first two parts of the question, but I am having inquiries and investigations made into this matter.
