Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYasked the Prime Minister whether he has been informed of the widespread opinion in the commercial world in favour of a fixed season for Easter, and especially of the attitude taken up towards this question at the meeting of the international chambers of commerce in Rome, and that His Holiness the Pope, His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, and other religious leaders have expressed themselves as not hostile to this proposal; and whether His Majesty's Government will consider a circular note to the Christian Powers inviting a conference on this subject?
