HC Deb 12 March 1923 vol 161 c1033
51. Mr. J. BUTLER

asked the Prime Minister whether he can now say what arrangements have been made for the representation of this country at the next meeting of the Council of the League of Nations and whether it will be the turn of the British representative to preside at this meeting?

The PRIME MINISTER

It has been arranged that this country will be represented at the meeting of the Council of the League in April by my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Education. Lord Balfour is, For private reasons, unable to attend this meeting, but I am glad to say that he hopes to be able to represent this country at some of the subsequent meetings of the League. The answer to the last part of the question is in the affirmative.
