HC Deb 08 March 1923 vol 161 c728
Mr. J. RAMSAY MacDONALD

Would the Prime Minister tell the House what business it is proposed to take next week?

The PRIME MINISTER

The business proposed is:

On Monday, we shall move the Speaker out of the Chair on the Navy Estimates. As I understand that a Private Bill is set down for discussion at 8.15 p.m., I think it will be necessary to move the suspension of the 11 o'clock Rule, as, in addition to moving the Speaker out of the Chair, we must take Vote A and Vote 1 in Committee.

Tuesday: Civil Services Estimates, Vote on Account; Report.

Wednesday: We shall move the Speaker out of the Chair on the Air Estimates, Votes A, 1, 4, 2 and 3.

Thursday: We shall move the Speaker out of the Chair on the Army Estimates, Vote A and Vote on Account.

Sir K. WOOD

May I ask the Prime Minister whether, as he has promised that copies of the Rent. Bill will be available for Members this week, the Second Reading will be taken before Easter?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir. Certain changes are taking place which make that impossible.
