HC Deb 16 July 1923 vol 166 cc1867-8
43. Lieut.-Colonel Sir A. CHURCHMAN

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether his attention has been called to the recommendation of the Departmental Committee on the Distribution and Prices of Agricultural Produce that the Government should aid in providing technical and expert advice on the preparation, packing, grading, and marketing of British dairy produce; and whether he proposes to put this recommendation into effect?

Sir R. SANDERS

Yes, Sir, I have had this matter under consideration. Instruction and advice in these directions already form part of the work of existing dairy training centres and travelling schools, but I am consulting with representatives of the producers and the trade, and also with the education authorities concerned with a view to an extension of such activities.
