HC Deb 16 July 1923 vol 166 c1868
44. Sir A. CHURCHMAN

asked the Minister of Agriculture how many co-operative dairy schools are now being held or are in contemplation; and what steps he is taking to further this method of stimulating co-operation among farmers?

Sir R. SANDERS

Five co-operative dairy schools are being held in England and Wales. The season is now too far advanced to make it practicable to arrange any more this year. The responsibility for establishing these schools rests with county authorities for agricultural education, who have been repeatedly urged, in correspondence and personally by the Ministry's officers, to undertake this work. Every effort will be made to increase the number of schools next year.
