THORNEasked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware that the Hampshire branch of the National Farmers' Union passed a resolution calling attention to the injustice of owners of shooting land taking advantage of the Rating Acts, which allow agricultural land, distinct from buildings, an allowance of 50 per cent. on its rateable value, and that 12 months ago a test case, which was brought by a man who sought to have the rates in his shooting included in this reduction, was successful; and if he will take action in the matter?
