Brigadier-General SPEARSasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has drawn the attention of the Postmaster-General and of the railway companies to the remarks in the Report of Lord Linlithgow's Committee with regard to telephones at rural railway stations; and, if so, if he will state with what result?
§ Sir R. SANDERSI have been in communication with the Postmaster-General's Department, and understand that the subject referred to was under discussion as recently as last month between that Department and representatives of the railway companies. The hon. and gallant Member may rest assured that the matter shall receive the fullest consideration.
