HC Deb 05 July 1923 vol 166 c624
86. Mr. SIMPSON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the Amir of Afghanistan has yet arrested the criminals responsible for the Kohat murders; and, if so, when their extradition may be expected?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Ronald McNeill)

According to the latest information, the Kohat murderers have not yet been arrested, and, as they appear to be moving in and out of Afghan territory, there may be some difficulty in locating them. His Majesty's Minister has impressed on the Afghan Government the great importance which His Majesty's Government attach to their early arrest. The Landi Kotal murderers have been arrested and brought to Kabul for trial.
