asked the Minister of Health if the deaths resulting from measles have increased since the compulsory notification of that com plaint has been abolished?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

There has been no such increase. The average number of deaths from measles during the past three years has been 5,042 per annum, as compared with 7,318 per annum for the four years, 1916 to 1919, during which the notification of measles was compulsory throughout the country.
