Mr. CHARLES DUNCANasked the Financial Secretary to the Admiralty whether the Board of Admiralty will reconsider the application of the employés at Holton Heath cordite factory for a renewal of the railway allowance, in view of the exceptional circumstances owing to the absence of housing accommodation and the heavy burden borne by the employés in the payment of rail fares?
§ Commander EYRES-MONSELLI regret that the Board, while fully apprised of the particular circumstances in regard to the absence of housing accommodation in the immediate neighbourhood of the factory, have found themselves unable to depart from the established 981 principle that workpeople must be expected to find their own way from their homes to the place of employment.
