HC Deb 24 April 1923 vol 163 c258
23. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether any secret wireless code books are missing from the War Office?

Lieut.-Colonel GUINNESS

No, Sir, the War Office is not aware that any such books are missing.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Has the hon. and gallant Gentleman not seen the circumstantial detailed account in the "Star" newspaper last night? Are we to understand that there is no truth at all in that report?

Lieut.-Colonel GUINNESS

We have made every inquiry, and find no trace of anything of the kind.
