HC Deb 17 April 1923 vol 162 c1851
18. Major ENTWISTLE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether ho is aware that small toy printing sets have been held up under the Dyestuffs Act, on account of the small pads being damped with ink which could not be made without the use of dyestuff material; and whether licences have now to be obtained from the Dyestuffs Committee at Manchester before the London Customs authorities will admit goods of the class in question?

Viscount WOLMER

An open general licence covering these articles was issued in January last. The answer to the second part is in the negative.
