HC Deb 12 April 1923 vol 162 cc1289-90
39. Mr. GILBERT

asked the Home Secretary the number of motor omnibuses registered at present by the Metropolitan police at Scotland Yard, how many of them are the new larger type of omnibus, and how many are the old type of smaller omnibus?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

The number of motor omnibuses licensed by the Metropolitan police for the year ending the 31st March, 1923, was 3,881. Of these, 2,228 are of the new larger type and 1,653 are of the old smaller type.

Mr. GILBERT

Is the tax the same on each type of omnibus?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I would like notice of that question.
