Mr. GRIFFITHSasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that an established skilled workman in the engineers' branch of the Post Office, who was injured on duty and was entitled to compensation, was compulsorily retired and the amount of his pension merged in the amount due to him under the Workmen's Compensation Act; whether this is in accordance with the usual practice; and, if so, will he state the authority for making up from a man's pension the amount due to him by way of compensation?
