§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Cecil Harmsworth)The complaints received regarding the treatment of British fishermen by the Icelandic authorities have been carefully examined, and His Majesty's Consul at Reykjavik has been instructed to make representations to the Icelandic Government in regard to the attempts of the authorities to obtain evidence before trial and the requirement that gear should be unshackled and fish stored before entry into territorial waters.
