HC Deb 26 July 1922 vol 157 cc435-6
75. Major GLYN

asked the Secretary for Mines whether any special action is being taken in respect of the disaster at East Plean Colliery?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

The mine has been visited by the Deputy Chief Inspector and the Divisional Inspector for Scotland, and his staff have been in constant attendance there. Before deciding what action, if any, is necessary, I am awaiting the result of the inquiry in Scotland held by the Sheriff under the Fatal Accidents Act, at which the facts will be thoroughly investigated.
