HC Deb 26 July 1922 vol 157 c461
62. Mr. J. MURRAY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has any official information that the Canadian Government has brought forward proposals for the abolition of its legislation regarding depreciated exchanges and dumping, and requirements connected therewith?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Sir W. Mitchell-Thomson)

I have no information as to any such proposals. The Canadian provisions for dealing with imports from countries with depreciated currencies have, however, been modified recently by an Act passed on 27th June. Particulars of the modifications are given on pages 675 and 77 of the issues of the "Board of Trade Journal" for 15th June and 20th July, respectively.
