Sir A. MOND

I beg to move, at the end of the Clause, to insert the words Provided also that, for the purpose of calculating the superannuation allowance of a. full-time officer who has formerly served as a part-time officer, the period of part-time service shall be reduced to such proportionate extent as in the opinion of the local authority the circumstances may require. The object of the Amendment is to enable the local authority to transmute the part-time service of an officer into its equivalent in whole-time service for the purpose of superannuation.
