§ The PRIME MINISTERNo, Sir. As I have stated in reply to similar questions, I do not think it would be wise to re-open after so short an interval franchise questions which were settled by general agreement in the last Parliament.
§ Mr. WHITEDoes not the right hon. Gentleman intend to carry out the pledge made prior to the election of 1918, or is this to be another of the broken pledges of the Government?
