asked the Prime Minister whether he has any information showing that authoritative persons in this country, who may be described as in the circles of the Supreme Council, intend to assure the continuity of the work of the Supreme Council by making it an organ of international government by the side of the League of Nations?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The answer is in the negative.

Lord R. CECIL

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that that statement has been made in authoritative quarters in France, and will he take care to make it clear that there is no doubt as to the intention of the Government?

I think the answer which I have given makes that quite plain.
