HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 c1687
54. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can now state when the Report of the Commission sent to investigate the pogroms in Poland will be placed before Parliament?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply just given to the hon. Member for North Lanark.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Was not this Commission sent definitely on behalf of Parliament, and why is not Parliament to have the benefit of the Report, whether it is going to the Council of the League of Nations, or not?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

That matter is being considered, but I should like to have notice of any further question.

Colonel WEDGWOOD

Was not the Commission paid for by the taxpayers of this country, and is there any reason why Parliament should not see this Report?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

I have no doubt it was paid for by the taxpayers, but I should like notice of any further question.
