HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 c1675
57. Captain BROWN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture if he is aware of rumours prevalent amongst North Country agriculturalists that the Minister has decided to continue control of meat after the 4th July; and if he can give an assurance that these rumours have no foundation in fact?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of FOOD (Sir W. Mitchell-Thomson)

I have been asked to reply. I am not aware of the rumours referred to, but I may state that it is not the intention of the Government to continue control of livestock after the 4th July.
